Dagger derives her name from the elongated and pointed tip of her first dorsal fin which is shaped like a dagger.
Dagger has been the Shark Reef Marine Reserve since June 2012 and at ~ 2.5 meters, she is a mature shark of approx. 20-25 years of age.
Behavior
She belongs to a tribe of specialized hand feeding Bull Sharks where her highly assertive behavior demands enhanced vigilance by the feeders.
Dagger is an extremely inquisitive and assertive shark and is known to approach quickly and boldly invading your personal space.
