A gentle giant, Gillette is a one of the most unique looking female Bull Sharks frequenting the Shark Reef Marine Reserve. Her gentleness and unassuming demeanor make her a staff favorite, and a Shark Star.
Gillette first appeared she was being strangled by a plastic fishing line which cut deep into her head and through her gill slits. Thankfully it popped off within a years time, leaving her with characteristically deformed second gill slits.
Gillette was first recorded on SRMR in July 2011. She is approximately 20-25 years old and large at a length between 2.5 and 3m.
Despite appearing well at ease around people, Gillette never hand feeds but instead spends her time mid-water participating in the aerial feed.
