Granma
The 'Matriarch', Granma is one of the most recognized and best loved Bull Sharks visiting the Shark Reef Marine Reserve. Her larger than life character and antics elevate Granma to the rank of Shark Icon.
FAQ
Granma can be identified by her bad right eye, her long pectoral fins (the right one is curled at the tip), and her mouth which is crooked on both sides.
Granma is approx. 30-35 years of age and large at close to 4m in length.
Behavior
Granma belongs to the tribe of specialized hand feeders. She will on rare ocassions join in the aerial feed.
Granma is very comfortable around divers and will directly approach them to make a personal inspection.
