Tip is one of the coolest and most popular female Bull Sharks frequenting the Shark Reef Marine Reserve.  Her incredible attributes, and dynamic interactions with divers make Tip supremely special and a Shark Icon.

  • FAQ

    Tip was named for the rounded tips of her two dorsal fins and the upper lobe of her tail.

    Tip has been visiting SRMR since March 2009, she is a mature shark of approx. 20-25 years with an imposing girth measuring close to 3m. 

  • Behavior

    Tip is one of only a few truly generalist Bull Sharks who engage in the whole range of feeding from picking up tuna heads from the bottom to aerial feeding, to perfectly mastering the etiquette of the hand feed.

    Tip is very comfortable around divers and will swim in close proximity to them.
