Long John can be recognized by his cut and bent tail and is named after the one-legged Long John Silver of Treasure Island.
Long John has been visting SRMR since June 2003, and is a mature shark of approx. 25 to 30 years and large at 2m.
Behavior
Long John appears extremely confident and at ease around people and will often approach and closely inspect divers out of curiousity.
Long John is a proficient aerial and substrate feeder.
