Quirky and cute, Taryn is one the most recognizable and memorable female Bull Sharks frequenting the Shark Reef Marine Reserve. Taryn's unique looks and incredible drive make her very special and a Shark Superstar.
FAQ
Taryn can be identified by her left pectoral fin which is irregularly slashed in half.
Taryn has been visiting the Shark Reef Marine Reserve since January 2014. She is one of our younger and smaller sharks estimated to be ~7-10 years of age with a length approaching 2m.
Behavior
Taryn is at her best competing mid-water in the aerial feed below the suspended bait bin, and scrapping on the ocean floor for fallen tuna.
Taryn is friendly and very comfortable around divers, she will often swim in close proximity to them as well as make full sustained eye contact.
