Highly sensitive and a touch neurotic, Topsail is one of the sweetest female Bull Sharks frequenting the Shark Reef Marine Reserve. Her dynamic personality make Topsail very special and a Shark Superstar.
FAQ
Topsail is easily recognized by the missing upper half of her first dorsal fin. This amputation was most likely caused by the bite of another shark.
Topsail has been visiting SRMR since October 2007, and was quite young and small when she first came around. Today she is approx. 15 years of age, and is over 2m long.
Behavior
Topsail is a very sweet and friendly shark, she will come and investigate divers and is very inquisitive, but at the same time very skittish.
Topsail belongs to a tribe of specialized handfeeding sharks.
